CAS (Clean and Simple)with a•muse|studio

Inspired by Julie Ebersole

You can make this card in less than 5 minutes

This a•muse|studio card was created with 1 stamp set.  Just Because is so versatile.  The sentiment is not in the set, but any sentiment would fit with this imagery.  A simple color change and maybe after the 50th one you might want to change the layout to put the green strip on the bottom, then you could make another 50! :)

To create the lines on the left of the card, just score the cardstock on the white side of the paper. (you must use a white core cardstock) and when you are finished, lightly sand the lines with an a•muse|studio sanding block.  These blocks lay on the paper and just skim the surface.  You can use an emeryboard too, but you have to use a lot more care to make it work.

To achieve the layered look on the butterfly I used 3 daubers and lightly inked the butterfly in layers.  This give the butterfly a soft look and no straight lines from the pad.  If you aren’t sure whether you can achieve this look on your own, come to my CAS classes on Wednesdays at the Bridgeport Public Library from 1:00 – 2:30.  It’s a whole lot of fun!
