Tissue Paper Magic – Moxie Fab World

Tissue paper and multi-medium just go together for me,  I love Eric Carle books and wanted to create a card with that “elementary” flair.  I think I acheived it with this card.

Elementary for sure!

The pelican was created with a wire bending technique learned in Elementary School

To create the pelican, you bend wire to form the shape and then slowly add layers of tissue to the wire between layers of matte-medium.  I used Claudine Hellmuth Studio multi-medium matte.

Some of the layers of tissue are folded before adding them to the card to create dimension in the waves.  I did not adhere the folded edge I adhered the open edge.

The water spout on the amuse art stamps whale is twisted tissue.  The Sending you Sunshine sentiment is a•msue|studio.  A little gimmer mist adds just the right touch of color, especially if it’s named crushed shells.
